Casey Patrick

Poet | Editor | Teaching Artist

Casey Patrick is a writer, editor, and teaching artist, who's currently at work on her first manuscript. Her poems have been published in PleiadesTinderbox Poetry JournalPassages North, The Adroit Journal, RHINO, and others. She was runner-up for the 2018 Pinch Literary Awards in Poetry and a finalist for the 2018 Brittany Noakes Poetry Award. She earned an MFA from Eastern Washington University and has been awarded a James Merrill Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center, a Writers House Residency from Hub City Writers Project, and an Emerging Artist Residency from Tofte Lake Center. For the last five years, Casey has taught creative writing classes in a variety of settings, and she regularly teaches in-person and online classes with The Loft Literary Center. In addition to teaching and writing, Casey is a freelance copy editor and proofreader. She lives in Minneapolis and tweets regularly @everythingfitz.
